
Facilities Assistant
Highlands School, an early childhood through 8th grade independent school, is currently seeking a full-time Facilities Assistant.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform janitorial and housekeeping duties, such as cleaning buildings and restrooms, disposing of trash, and sanitizing areas
- Assist with grounds and lawn maintenance
- Help with building and grounds maintenance projects
- Complete additional projects as assigned by the Director of Facilities, such as painting, moving furniture, setting up for events, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in a related field
- Must be a team player and follow all health and safety regulations
- Ability to physically lift and carry equipment (approximately 40 lbs.)
- Ability to handle medium-weight power equipment
- Demonstrates integrity and the ability to work independently
- Must demonstrate responsibility and the ability to follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment
- Must pass a background check
The Ideal Candidate will also possess a CDL to drive students and faculty/staff to various field trips.
This position reports to the Directors of Facilities.
Hours: 9AM-6PM*
*Hours may be slightly adjusted depending on necessary tasks and duties.
